Automation

Darts Atlas provides start-to-finish automation for round-robin tournaments.

Tournament Directors will see the automation settings form on their tournament homepage once they have completed the checkout process.

Automation Settings

There are 3 settings associated with tournament automation:

  1. Number of groups - Darts Atlas will present a limited number of group count options based on your total number of players. Automation generally supports groups of 4-8 players, though certain entry counts may expand that range. You can only have a power of 2 as your selected option (1, 2, 4, 8, 16, etc…).
  2. Number of advancing players from each group - You can instruct Darts Atlas to advance each group’s top player, top 2 players, or top 4 players (according to their position in the group’s ranking table)
  3. Knockout round match length - You can instruct Darts Atlas to set knockout matches to a different length than the group stage. You can still modify each knockout round’s match legnth from the tournament’s administration menu.

Automation Process

Once you apply your automation settings your tournament groups will be automatically created. Once the final round-robin match has been copmleted your knockout bracket will be generated and your advancing players will be placed in their first-round knockout matches.

When setting your tournament’s automation settings one of the following conditions must be met, otherwise you will encounter an error:

  1. You must have created all of your tournament Boards via the Darts Atlas Kiosk (so that you have the same number of boards as your group count), OR
  2. Your host venue must have as many available Kiosk boards as your group count

Marker Assignments

Darts Atlas provides a tailored match and marking schedule for groups consisting of 3-8 players. A fair distribution of home matches, away matches, and marking assignments helps provide the best possible experience for each player. Each Group’s fixture list includes the marker assignment for all pending matches. The assigned marker name is also displayed on the match scoreboard and on board calls displayed on in-house screens.

ADC Vault Automation

ADC Vault tournaments with 16-24 players will enjoy the same levels of automation to which they are accustomed, with the addition of the improved match and marker schedule. No different steps are required during the setup or checkout process.
