Teams
Darts Atlas supports seasons of Teams competing against each other in single- or double-round-robin formats.
Leaderboards and stats are automatically maintained at the Team and Individual levels.
Terminology
- Matchup - When Team 1 plays against Team 2, that is considered a matchup. Each team plays against each other time in 1 or 2 matchups per season, depending on whether the season is single- or double-round-robin.
- Roster - The list of players eligible to play on a specific team.
- Lineup - The playing order of a team’s players for a given matchup.
- Match - A single match of a specified length and format played between players from opposing teams (i.e. a best-of-3 singles match or a 1-leg doubles match)
How it Works
- An Organisation manager creates a new Teams Season within their Organisation
- Team Captains create their Teams via their Administration page and build their team roster from their Friends List
- Team Captains register their team on the season homepage
- The season manager approves each team’s registration
- The team fixtures are generated once the administration fee is paid by the season manager
Match Formats
The season manager specifies the matchup match format before completing the checkout process. Upon payment of the season administration fee the matchup and match fixtures will be generated according to the specified format and order. This is best explained using the following example:
- The season is configured for each matchup to consist of 7 matches
- Before paying the administration fee the season manager applies the following settings to the matchup format:
- Match 1: Doubles 1-leg 1001
- Match 2: Doubles 1-leg 1001
- Match 3: Singles Best-of-3 301
- Match 4: Singles Best-of-3 301
- Match 5: Singles All-4-legs 501
- Match 6: Doubles Best-of-3 701
- Match 7: Doubles Best-of-3 701
Upon completing the checkout process all of the matchups between teams will be created, containing 7 matches configured with the settings specified above.
