Teams

Darts Atlas supports seasons of Teams competing against each other in single- or double-round-robin formats.

Leaderboards and stats are automatically maintained at the Team and Individual levels.

Terminology

• Matchup - When Team 1 plays against Team 2, that is considered a matchup. Each team plays against each other time in 1 or 2 matchups per season, depending on whether the season is single- or double-round-robin.
• Roster - The list of players eligible to play on a specific team.
• Lineup - The playing order of a team’s players for a given matchup.
• Match - A single match of a specified length and format played between players from opposing teams (i.e. a best-of-3 singles match or a 1-leg doubles match)

How it Works

1. An Organisation manager creates a new Teams Season within their Organisation
2. Team Captains create their Teams via their Administration page and build their team roster from their Friends List
3. Team Captains register their team on the season homepage
4. The season manager approves each team’s registration
5. The team fixtures are generated once the administration fee is paid by the season manager

Match Formats

Before completing the checkout process a season manager will determine the number of matches played during each matchup. This number of matches will be pre-configured for each matchup when the schedule is generated, each set to the default match format configuration specified in the season’s settings.

The match format can be modified by the season manager and will be updated across all matchups. This is best explained using the following example:

• A season manager creates a teams season with the default match settings of singles, best-of-3 legs, and 501.
• The season is configured for each matchup to consist of 7 matches
• When the schedule is generated each matchup will consist of 7 matches, all set to singles best-of-3 501
• The season manager makes the following modifications the matchup format:
• Match 1: Doubles 1-leg 1001
• Match 2: Doubles 1-leg 1001
• Match 3: Singles Best-of-3 301
• Match 4: Singles Best-of-3 301
• Match 5: Singles All-4-legs 501
• Match 6: Doubles Best-of-3 701
• Match 7: Doubles Best-of-3 701
